"Washy has achieved whatever he has done because of his hard work, consistent preparations, undying fire to perform and out of his passion and love for the game. He is very sincere about the game, and God has been kind to this hardworking cricketer," Shailaja said.

She further stated that the tall off-spinner has worked hard on his fitness and he's reaping the fruits of all the effort that he's put in.

"Fitness wasn't a big deal in cricket earlier, but today it's extremely important. Washington has never given up and always gives 100% effort, even during injuries. I've seen him since childhood; he's always been careful about improving his game. His success today is the result of his relentless training," Shailaja shared.

"Today, the entire family is bursting with pride because Washington took seven wickets in a single innings! Test cricket, the purest form of the game, truly challenges a player's skills, and his phenomenal performance has become a cherished memory for us."

Praising Washington's unyielding resilience and dedication, Shailaja said: "Whenever the team hits a rough patch, Washington is right there, battling with both bat and ball to steer them back on course. His Test cricket performance has filled our hearts with pride."

As the Sundar family revels in Washington's triumphs, they gaze ahead with excitement, eager to witness the bright future that awaits him in Team India.
