IND vs NZ, World Cup 2023 Semi-Final: Rajnikanth, Beckham & Salman Khan Among Star-Studded Guest List In Wankhede Stadium

A star-studded guest list, featuring cinema stars and sports stars, is expected to witness the India vs New Zealand ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday (November 15).

India head into the match on a nine-match winning winning streak, while New Zealand have won five of their nine games, which proved enough to seal the final knockout berth.

The high-voltage clash in Mumbai is expected to be attended by superstar Rajnikanth, England football legend David Beckham, Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan among others.

Manchester United and Real Madrid great Beckham will be present for the game as the goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, while Rajnikanth, one of the BCCI golden ticket recipient, also confirmed to ANI that he is travelling to Mumbai to watch the match.

Salman Khan, who has been promoting his movie Tiger 3 during the league matches, will also be in attendance alongside several other cine stars and celebrities. Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, who has been ruled out of the World Cup, will also be among the guests in the Wankhede Stadium VVIP area.

Apart from the aforementioned names, the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Nita Ambani, Amitbah Bacchan, Ranbir Kapoor and many others may also be in attendance for the match. Some celebrity wives of cricketers also will be among the spectators.

A report also states, Tendulkar, Indian cricket icon and ICC Global Ambassador for the Cricket World Cup 2023, will walk out with Beckham, Football Icon and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, carrying the trophy before the match.

Earlier, BCCI Honorary Secretary Jay Shah had presented Golden Ticket for India Icons - Tendulkar, Rajnikanth and Amitabh Bacchan. The golden ticket reportedly allowed a recipient to attend all the 48 matches in the ICC World Cup 2023.

Coming back to match, unbeaten India face New Zealand in a rematch from the 2019 semifinal to get one step closer to the title clash which is scheduled to take place on Sunday (November 19) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
