Shreyas Iyer picked up an excellent catch to dismiss Devon Conway on Sunday at the Dharamshala stadium, and then immediately made a hilarious medal celebration imitating Ravindra Jadeja.

India are taking on New Zealand in an important ICC World Cup 2023 encounter and the Kiwis are currently batting. In the fourth over, Mohammed Siraj's ball onto Conway's pads was flicked by the Kiwi batter, but it was superbly plucked out of the air by Shreyas Iyer.

Iyer, who was fielding at the short square leg, dived to his right and completed a sharp catch to dismiss the dangerous batter without troubling the scorers.

And right after taking the catch, Iyer was seen making a medal celebration, imitating exactly what Ravindra Jadeja did in the Bangladesh match. Jadeja took a superb catch to dismiss Mushfiqur Rahim and then made the medal celebration.

For the uninitiated, Jadeja's 'medal' celebration is a reference to an Indian dressing room ritual, which awards a medal to the best fielder of the match after each game. Virat Kohli, Shardul Thakur, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja have won the medal so far, and it looks like Shreyas Iyer is also keen to put his name on the list.
