IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023: India vs Pakistan match prediction, head to head and other details

India and Pakistan will once again cross paths in the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday, September 10. Pakistan kicked off their Super Fours campaign on a winning note by beating Bangladesh by seven wickets on Wednesday.

India and Pakistan were placed in Group A in the league stage. They won their respective matches against Nepal. The two Asian giants clashed against each other on September 2 but the match was abandoned after the first innings due to rain.

Batting first India opted to bat first and scored 266 runs in 48.5 overs after a top order collapse. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya partnered for 138 runs in the match. Pakistan are on the top of their game in the Asia Cup 2023. Their bowling unit especially has made life miserable for oppositions in the tournament.

If weather permits, a mouth-watering contest is on the cards between the arch-rivals.

IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours Match Prediction

Pakistan pressed the paddle against India in the league stage match and had them four down down for 66 before Ishan Kishan (82) and Hardik Pandya (87) forged a 138-run partnership to rescue the Men in Blue and help them post 266. A 300-plus total was in the radar but another collapse towards the end marred India's plan.

However, Pakistan let India go off the hook and allowed them to post a competitive target before rain washed out the game. The two rain breaks also disrupted the focus of the Indian batters. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will come better prepared this time.

India are ahead of Pakistan in terms of batting depth and quality all-rounders in the team. Pakistan's pace trio of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf is their main strength. India would be aiming to thwart the challenge. Pakistan have often looked average in the middle-overs and if India do not lose early wickets, Pakistan will land up in some serious trouble. There is a chance that Pakistan bring in left-arm pacer Faheem Ashraf in the match against India. However, India are the favourites to beat Pakistan on Sunday.
