IND vs PAK, Champions Trophy 2025: ‘Dil ke Arman...Aab to Aadat Si..’ - Ex-Pakistan star Sing with grimace after India defeat

By MyKhel Staff

Former Pakistan players Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez could only describe the Pakistan cricket team's performance with sarcastic Hindi songs as they suffered a dismal defeat against India on Sunday (February 23).

Virat Kohli scored a magnificent unbeaten century as the Indian team secured a convincing 6-wicket victory over the arch-rivals, leaving their fates hanging by a thread in the Champions Trophy 2025.

It was yet another hapless performance from Pakistan, which has been the norm of late. Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and company have lost eight out of the last nine matches against India, indicating a sorry surrender from them in the 50-over format. And it was the same in Dubai on Sunday as Pakistan were outplayed yet again.

Reflecting on the match, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar posted a video featuring Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez and others.

IND vs PAK: Shoaib Malik and co. resort to Sarcastic Singing

Shoaib Malik on what appears to be a TV set, started to sing 'Dil ke Arman Ansuon me beh gaye', an old Hindi song, while depicting his reaction to the match. The aforementioned song is a sad song which depicts the sadness when reality crushes the dreams of the heart, which was exactly the case for Pakistani fans.

Another former player Mohammad Hafeez was also disappointed with the performance but could only have a sarcastic smile on his face. One of the female panellists referred to another music as she tried to sum up her thoughts.

She sang 'Aab to Aadat si...', another famous Pakistani track which kind of translates that the Pakistanis have become used to getting defeated by India.

Pakistan's consecutive defeat in the tournament means they are on the brink of elimination and will have to depend on other results to progress to the semifinals.
