IND vs PAK: How Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty reacted to hundreds from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul

IND vs PAK: Hundreds from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul in the Super Fours match against Pakistan on the reserve day on Monday, September 11 in Colombo, helped India post 356/2 in 50 overs and win the match by 228 runs - the biggest in the ODI format against the arch-rivals.

After enduring a slow start, Virat Kohli upped his ante after completing his fifty off 55 balls and ended up scoring unbeaten 122 runs off 94 balls. He became the fastest batter to complete 13000 runs en route to his 47th ODI hundred.

The former India captain, who was adjudged Man of the Match, is now just two short of equalling Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 ODI hundreds. The hundred was also his fourth consecutive in the ODI format at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

As soon as the batter brought up his hundred on the 84th ball of his innings, his wife Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram handle to share a picture of Kohli celebrating his 77th international hundred. "Super Knock, Super guy," she wrote. She also made a post congratulating KL Rahul.

KL Rahul, the other centurion from the match, played a sublime knock in his comeback match for India after almost six months. He never looked in any sort of discomfort and played equally well against the pacers and spinners to hit his sixth ODI hundred.

The comeback hundred was applauded by all including her wife and Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty. She posted a picture of the 31-year-old with a caption saying, "Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise." She also shared a picture of Kohli and Rahul in her Instagram Story and wrote, "Champions."

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul forged a 233-run partnership off 194 deliveries - the highest-ever in the history of the Asia Cup. The earlier record (224) was held by Pakistan batters Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez.

The match also witnessed Kuldeep Yadav pick five wickets for 25 runs in 8 overs. India will face Sri Lanka in their second Super Fours match of the Asia Cup 2023.
