IND vs SA: Records tumbled on Day 1 of the second Test between India and South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town. Bowlers reigned supreme on Wednesday, January 3 as many as 20 wickets fell in the first 58.1 overs.
South Africa were bundled out for 55 after electing to bat first. Mohammed Siraj wreaked havoc and finished with figures of 6/15 in nine overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar also chipped in with two wickets each.

The total is South Africa's lowest score in the format in a single innings since being dismissed for 45 in February 1932 by Australia. It's also the lowest Test score by an opposition against India.
In reply India cruising towards a solid lead before their last six wickets fell without any addition to the team total. India were batting on 153/4 in 33 overs, but were bundled out for the same score before the end of the 35th over.
Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were dismissed for a duck. In total six India batters including opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got out without scoring. India

India are trailing 0-1 in the two-Test series after losing the first Test in Johannesburg by an innings and 132 runs. The 98-run first innings lead is expected to give them an opportunity to level the series 1-1.
