IND vs SA: India squad for South Africa T20Is announced; Hardik Pandya Included, Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube Miss Out

India has announced their squad for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa, set to start from November 8.

BCCI announced the team for the limited overs series, which is set to be captained by Suryakumar Yadav.

India will play a four-match T20I series against the Proteas. The first match is at Durban on November 8, followed by matches in Gqeberha (Nov 10), Centurion (Nov 13) and Johannesburg (Nov 15).

Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh have been picked in the squad, whereas Hardik Pandya is also going to be part of the Indian team. Kolkata Knight Riders starlet Ramandeep Singh, who has been having an impressive outing with India A in the Emerging Asia Cup has been handed his first India call-up as well.

Karnataka and RCB pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak is going to be a part of the pace unit consisting of Arshdeep Singh and Yash Dayal. Varun Chakravarthy continues to be in the Indian team as well. After his superb century against Bangladesh, Sanju Samson is also named as wicketkeeper for the Indian team, alongside Jitesh Sharma.

Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube were not considered for selection due to injuries, placing them on the sidelines for the upcoming series. Additionally, Riyan Parag was also unavailable for selection. He is currently under the care of the BCCI Centre of Excellence, seeking a long-term solution for his chronic right shoulder injury.
