IND vs SA: South Africa take cue from Pat Cummins, take snap of T20 World Cup final pitch in their mobile phone

By MyKhel Staff

IND vs SA: Pakistan journalists have made another bizarre claim saying that South Africa captain Aiden Markram along with his support staff captured the pictures of Kensington Oval pitch in Barbados in their mobile phone ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 final to avoid any 'cheating' from India.

Notably, Pat Cummins had also taken pictures of the Narendra Modi Stadium in his mobile phone ahead of the ODI World Cup final against India last year. Pakistan journalists reminded their viewers about the incident before claiming that other teams were aware that ICC helps India in the global events.

They said there was a lack of trust between ICC and other cricket boards because of their 'favouritism' towards India. The Pakistan journalists and YouTubers claimed that opponents were extra careful when facing India at the ICC events.

'Aiden Makram clicked picture of pitch to avoid tampering chances from India'

The Pakistan media said that like Pat Cummins, South Africa also clicked the pictures of the Kensington Oval pitch in Bridgetown, Barbados to store a solid proof India are involved in pitch tampering.

Not only Pakistan journalists, their former cricketers have also made some vague comments during the T20 World Cup 2024. Former Pakistan captain even alleged that India bowlers were tampering the ball for reverse swing.

"When Arshdeep was bowling the 15th over, it was reverse swinging. Is that too early with the new ball? This means the ball was ready by the 12th-13th over, it was capable of reversing. It was reverse-swinging in the 15th. Umpires need to keep their eyes open," Inazaman-ul-Haq told a Pakistan news channel after India defeated Australia.

Former Pakistan cricketers made similar allegations during last year's ODI World Cup as well. While India have qualified for the final of successive World Cups, Pakistan yet again failed at the global stage. Pakistan had failed to qualify for the semi-final of OD World Cup 2023. This time around, they crashed out even before the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 after losing to India and USA.
