Suryakumar Yadav demonstrated an exceptional display of batting prowess in the crucial third T20I against South Africa at Johannesburg on Thursday (December 14).
The India captain scored his 4th T20I hundred and now has joined Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell with the most T20I centuries.

Initially playing with restraint and building his innings, Suryakumar took his time to settle in, amassing 35 runs off 29 deliveries. However, the tables turned dramatically when he launched an onslaught against South Africa's Andile Phehlukwayo, hammering 23 runs in a single over.
This was just a prelude to what was to come, as Suryakumar went on to notch his fourth T20I century in a mere 55 balls, showcasing his class in Johannesburg.
In a relatively short international career, Suryakumar Yadav has asserted his dominance in the T20I arena with his six-hitting ability. Before the match, he had an impressive tally of 115 sixes. His explosive batting in Johannesburg enabled him to eclipse Virat Kohli's record of 117 T20I sixes.
Now, with 122 sixes under his belt, Suryakumar has made a mark for himself in the record books, achieving this feat in a significantly shorter span than Kohli. He trails only Rohit Sharma, the prolific Indian opener, who leads with 182 sixes in the T20I format.
He reached the 2,000 T20I run mark in just 56 innings, matching Kohli's pace. This incredible achievement places both Indian hitters behind only Pakistan's Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who are the quickest to reach this milestone (52 innings).
The Indian T20I captain has also joined Rohit Sharma with joint-most T20I centuries. Yadav has scored his century in only his 57th innings, miles quicker than Rohit Sharma (4 centuries in 140 innings) and Glenn Maxwell (4 centuries in 92 innings), who have the same number of T20I centuries.
