A superb start in the Final has turned sour in the span of three deliveries as India lost captain Rohit Sharma, followed by Rishabh Pant in the second over of the match.

India accumulated 15 runs in the first over as Virat Kohli hit three boundaries off Marco Jansen. Rohit Sharma also started in sublime fashion in the 2nd over, as he hit consecutive boundaries off Keshav Maharaj.

But Rohit tried to hit another boundary in the same over and got caught in square leg. It was a huge breakthrough for the Proteas who didn't have the best of starts. And things got better for them as Rishabh Pant's extravagant sweep only took a leading edge and the wicketkeeper completed an easy catch.

With Rohit Sharma (9) and Rishabh Pant (0) back in the hut, South Africa are in the driving seat in the final.

But one thing which the fans have pointed out is the careless batting of Rohit Sharma in the Final. It was like deja vu for the India captain, who got dismissed in the same fashion eyeing for extra boundary in the 50-over World Cup final. Rohit got a boundary and a six in that over went for another slog, which went up and Travis Head took a superb catch to dismiss him.

In the T20 World Cup final, it was Heinrich Klaasen who grabbed a sharp catch to dismiss the India skipper. Despite Rohit's brilliant approach, the fans pointed out one thing in unison on social media-

The fans are already tensed as this final is going in the same pattern as the last one in November.

Fans have also mauled Rishabh Pant after he got dismissed for a duck in the final.

Another fan has accused the Indian team management for picking Rishabh Pant over Sanju Samson and says Rohit Sharma will be responsible if India lose the final.
