IND vs SA: India lost the Boxing Day Test against South Africa at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Thursday, December 28. The embarrassing defeat on Day 3 of the first Test saw India get bundled out for 131 runs in the second innings to lose the match by an innings and 32 runs.

South Africa finished their first innings on 408 and took a very handy 161-run lead against India who had managed to score only 245 in the first innings.

Kagiso Rabada clean bowled India Rohit Sharma for a duck before South Africa left-arm pacer Nandre Burger picked the wicket of his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal (5). Later, Shubman Gill played some counter-attacking cricket and scored 26 runs off 37 balls. His innings consisted of six fours but Marco Jansen struck on the final ball of the 14th over to clean his stumps.

Shreyas Iyer (6) was next to be castled by Jansen. Later, Burger ran riot and picked the wickets of KL Rahul (4) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0). Rabada struck for the second time to send Shardul Thakur packing for 2. Jasprit Bumrah got run out for a duck, and Mohammed Siraj (4) became Burger's fourth victim in the 32nd over.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli brought up his 29th Test fifty and kept on watching his teammates come and go. With just Prasidh Krishna left, he took his chances and hit two back-to-back boundaries in the 34th over.

On the first ball of the 35th over, Kohli came down the track and played it straight past left-arm pacer Jansen (3/36). However, Rabada, who starred in the match with seven wickets, ran from long-on and made a sprawling dive towards his left to take a stunner to end Kohli's (76) and India's forgettable outing in Centurion.
