IND vs SA: KL Rahul scored a sensational 8th Test hundred on Day 2 of the ongoing first Test between India and South Africa at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday, December 27.
India were six down for 121 at one stage, but the 101-run knock off 137 balls took India to a respectable 245-run total. KL Rahul showed a lot of maturity and experience, compiling his innings around the lower middle-order and tail-enders.

KL Rahul partnered for 43 runs with Shardul Thakur, 27 with Jasprit Bumrah and 47 with Mohammed Siraj. Bumrah and Siraj scored one and five runs respectively. The wicketkeeper-batter's last-wicket partnership with Prasidh Krishna accounted for seven runs off 15 balls.
Standing a risk of being stranded in the 90s. KL Rahul took the aerial route to hit a six and bring up his hundred in style. Batting on 95, the right-hand batter cleared his front leg and slammed a Gerald Coetzee delivery for a six over deep mid-wicket.
KL Rahul became the first visiting batter to hit two Test hundreds in Centurion, and his teammates could not stay calm. The likes of Rinku Singh, Virat Kohli, head coach Rahul Dravid and other Team India players and staff stood up and applauded the masterful knock from the Karnataka batter. He also became only the third India batter after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli to hit two or more hundred in South Africa.
Virat Kohli also gave KL Rahul a warm reception after he got out and India's innings ended at 245. Kohli himself was looking sublime during his 38-run knock which consisted of five fours. Before he could convert his start into a big score, Kagiso Rabada picked his wicket with an unplayable out-swinging delivery.
