As India take on South Africa in this crucial match, there is another important thing that is going to happen today.

India stalwart Virat Kohli turns 35 today, and there will be a huge celebration at the Eden Gardens ahead of the match. The CAB president already said that there will be cakes, there will be fireworks, and already the fans have been given Kohli face masks, which they are wearing in numbers and chanting their voice out for the king.

Even on Saturday, there were thousands of fans at the stadium and Kohli was the heart of everything.

Fans across India have gathered at the City of Joy, and even England fans are chanting their hearts out for the Indian batting maestro and the men in Blue in general.

Ahead of the match today, the fans have gathered outside the stadium and there is only one name in their voice, and that is Virat Kohli.

Few have come with cakes, while others have made cut-outs and posters with messages for their favourite star.

MyKhel had a talk with a fan who has come from England and is openly supporting India. He wishes Kohli a very Happy Birthday and hopes the Indian batter will equal the ODI century record on his birthday today.

"We came for England. But now we have changed sides and supporting India. Hopefully, India will win the World Cup. Happy Birthday to Virat! I hope you score your 49th hundred today and equal Sachin Tendulkar's record," the English fan said.

The City of Joy as they say of Kolkata, is ready to welcome Virat Kohli, who has taken over this part of the country. There used to be a Maharaj for the Bengalis once, now it's all about the King.
