IND vs SA: Yuzvendra Chahal fired Haryana into the semi-final of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023 after helping them beat Bengal in the quarter-final match of Monday, December 11. The senior leg-spinner picked four wickets for 37 runs in 10 overs to help Haryana bundle out Bengal for 225.
The 33-year-old grabbed Man of the Match award for his match-winning performance and shared the picture from the ceremony with a message that he would be supporting his team in the semi-final encounter against Tamil Nadu from Johannesburg in South Africa.

Notably, Yuzvendra Chahal has been picked in the India squad for the three-match series against South Africa starting December 17 in Johannesburg. Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar are the other three spinners in the squad.
Chahal has warmed up perfectly for the series by taking 18 wickets in eight Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023 matches at an average of 14.83. He is the joint second-highest wicket-taker of the ongoing 50-over tournament.
The Jind-born cricketer is making a comeback in the Indian team for the first time after the West Indies tour. He was dropped from India's Asia Cup 2023 squad, and later did not get a place in the 2023 World Cup squad as well.
However, it would be interesting to see the number of games Chahal gets to play in South Africa. On the West Indies tour, Chahal did not feature in any of the ODI matches.
The chances of Chahal being picked for the T20 World Cup 2024 is also low. He wasn't picked in the India squad for the ongoing three-match T20I series against South Africa.
