India will lock horns with Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I match today (Sunday, July 28). The games are coming thick and fast and the visitors will be hoping to wrap up the series with a victory.

Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, along with captain Suryakumar Yadav batted brilliantly in the first match. Gill and Jaiswal provided a superb start for Arsenal and then captain SKY went on to score a scintillating half-century. Riyan Parag failed with the bat but was brilliant with the ball, picking up three wickets.

Hardik Pandya had an off day. The all-rounder failed to make any impact with the bat and then was expensive with the ball as well. He conceded 41 runs in his four overs and looked underwhelming in the field.

The pacers and spinners had a good outing and may well remain the same for the 2nd T20I on Sunday.

After Hardik Pandya's underwhelming outing in the first match, there have been speculations whether the former India vice-captain will keep his place in the team for the 2nd T20I.

Shivam Dube, who had a decent T20 World Cup campaign, is on the bench and can be Hardik's replacement given his all-round skills. But it looks like Hardik Pandya will continue to feature in the team today.

The Indian all-rounder wasn't at his best in the last match, but Gambhir and his team management have full faith in the player and will give him another opportunity in this match.
