In the first T20I at the same venue on Saturday, India defeated Sri Lanka by 43 runs to take a 1-0 lead. After being asked to bat first, India posted 213/7. Suryakumar Yadav smashed a 22-ball fifty, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill partnered for 74 runs in just six overs.

Sri Lanka also got off to a flier. They were cruising at 140/1 in 14 overs before their innings collapsed and they were bundled out for 170 in 19.2 overs. Opener Pathum Nissanka top-scored for them with 48-ball 79.

A win in the second T20I will give Indian an unassailable 2-0 lead, and therefore the hosts are expected to come hard at the visitors on Sunday. A mouth-watering contest is very well on the cards.
