IND vs SL: India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after winning the second T20I at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium by seven wickets on Sunday, July 28.
Rain stopped play after three deliveries in the first over of second innings as India were asked to chase 78 runs in eight overs under the revised conditions. The Men in Blue flexed their muscles and chased down the target in just 6.3 overs. This was India's 17th win in 18 T20I matches in 2024.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 30 runs off 15 balls, while captain Suryakumar Yadav also chipped in with 26 off 12 after opener Sanju Samson was dismissed for a golden duck by spinner Maheesh Theekshana.
Hardik Pandya walked in after Surya's departure and scored 22 not out runs off nine balls. Sri Lanka's star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga leaked 34 runs in two overs. Pacer Matheesha Pathirana went for 18 runs in nine balls.
Earlier in the match, Sri Lanka settled for 161/9 after being asked to bat first. Just like the first T20I, Sri Lanka were once again cruising at 123/2 in 14 overs, but their innings collapsed towards the end.
Sri Lanka were reduced to 161/9 in 20 overs from 130/2 after the end of 15 overs. Ravi Bishnoi finished with figures of 3/26, while Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya picked two wickets apiece. In the last five overs, Sri Lanka lost seven wickets for 31 runs.
The final T20I - a dead rubber now - will be played on Tuesday, July 30 at the same venue. The ODI leg of the tour is scheduled to start from August 2. ODI captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli will be back in action with the series.
