IND vs SL: Yuzvendra Chahal was spotted watching the India vs Sri Lanka match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, November 2. The out-of-favour spinner was seen sitting alongside Ravichandran Ashwin's wife Prithi in the VIP box.
Chahal wasn't included in the 15-member India World Cup squad despite the injury of Axar Patel. Ravichandran Ashwin was picked ahead of him. In fact, Chahal did not feature in the Asia Cup 2023 and the following 3-match ODI series against Australia.

Chahal - the Haryana leg-spinner - was spotted watching the game with a fellow India teammate's wife but his own wife Dhanashree Verma was nowhere to be seen in the frame.
Chahal signed a contract with county side Kent and played a couple of County Championship Division One matches for them. The 33-year-old leg-spinner recently featured in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 (SMAT). He picked 11 wickets in seven matches.
Sachin Tednulkar's daughter Sara Tendulkar and KL Rahul's wife Athiya Shetty also marked their presence at the Wankhede Stadium. Sara Tendulkar had also arrived at the MCA Stadium in Pune to watch India play against Bangladesh.
Thousands of fans incuding Sara Tendulkar gave a standing ovation to 24-year-old Shubman Gill after he missed out on his maiden World Cup hundred by just eight runs.
India, who have won each of their first six matches, have been asked to bat first in their seventh match of the World Cup 2023. India lost the wicket of captain Rohit Sharma on the second ball of the first over but Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill have put India in a strong position by forging a 100-plus run partnership between them.
Virat Kohli is chasing his record-equalling 49th ODI hundred in the match. With the century, Virat Kohli will be at par with legendary Sachin Tendulkar's in the list of batters with most hundreds in ODI cricket.
