IND vs WI: Hardik Pandya slams West Indies board with brutal comments after ODI series win

IND vs WI: India steamrolled West Indies in the 3rd and final ODI to win the series by a comfortable 2-1 margin on Tuesday (August 1).

It was a thoroughly professional performance from the Indian team who beat the hosts by 200 runs and thus sealed the 50-over series. But after the match, it was India captain Hardik Pandya who spoke his heart out about some poor management by the West Indies board.

The Indian team have had complaints against the West Indies cricket board regarding the travelling and locations of the hotels. And Hardik Pandya expressed his grief on the issue and said the Caribbean board must look into the matter.

Pandya led the Indian team for the second time in a row as captain Rohit Sharma was among the absentees. And after the victory, Pandya questioned the arrangements made by the hosts. He praised the Queen's Park Oval as one of the nicest venues, but then promptly highlighted the shortcomings of the Caribbean cricket board.

"This was one of the nicest grounds we have played. Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. From travelling to managing a lot of things. Last year also, some hiccups happened," Pandya said in the post-match presentation.

"I think it's time for West Indies Cricket to take note of it and make sure that when a team travels, there is no hiccup. We don't ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of. Other than that, really enjoyed coming here and playing some good cricket," he added.

Pandya also reinstated that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the nucleus of the team and their omission was just for providing chances to youngsters like Ruturaj Gaikwad and others.

"Virat and Rohit are integral parts of the team. But it was important to rest them so that people like Ruturaj Gaikwad could get a chance. It was about giving opportunities to youngsters," Hardik further commented.

India now shift their focus to the T20 version of the game as the five-match series against the Caribbean starts from Thursday (August 3).
