Kuldeep Yadav achieved a massive feat on Tuesday by becoming the fastest Indian bowler to 50 T20I wickets. In the third T20I against West Indies at the Providence Stadium in Guayana, the left-arm chinaman bowler picked three wickets for 28 runs in four overs to break Yuzvendra Chahal's record.
Kuldeep now has 50 wickets in 30 T20Is for India. Yuzvendra Chahal held the record for India earlier by registering 50 T20I scalps in 34 matches. Overall, Kuldeep is third on the list (full members sides) behind Ajanta Mendis (26) and Ireland pacer Mark Adair (28).

Further, Kuldeep Yadav is fourth on the list of bowlers to take fewest balls to pick 50 T20I wickets. Mendis took just 600 balls to pick his 50th T20I wicket. Mark Adair (620) and Lungi Ngidi (624) follow him on the second and third spots respectively. Kuleep achieved the feat on his 638th delivery in T20I cricket. Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga picked his 50 wickets in 660 balls.
Kuldeep is the second-fastest to 50 wickets in terms of innings taken among bowlers of top ten teams. Mendis again leads the chart with just 26 innings to 50 wickets and is followed by Kuldeep (29) and Hasaranga (30).
The Uttar Pradesh tweaker has been in good form. He picked seven wickets in three matches in the preceding ODI series. In the ongoing T20I series, the 28-year-old has picked four wickets in two matches at an average of 12. He did not play in the second T20I. India brought him back in the eleven of the third T20I in place of Ravi Bishnoi.
