IND vs WI: Team not mature enough without Kohli and Rohit - 3 reason why India lost T20I series

Suryakumar Yadav's 61 off 45 went in vain as Brandon King smashed unbeaten 85 off 55 to help West Indies win the match by eight-wicket. Here's the top three reasons why India lost the T20I series against the West Indies.

The middle-order failure

The performance of Team India in the recent T20I series against the West Indies has left fans unsatisfied. India, led by Hardik Pandya, lost the T20I series 2-3 prompting supporters to urge the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Hardik's erratic bowling changes, unusual team selection and lack of proper tactical acumen did not help the tourists as West Indies managed to eke out an 8-wicket win in the series deciding fifth T20I in Florida.

From not giving Yuzvendra Chahal another over despite him bowling superbly in his third over during the second T20 to bizarre usage of Axar Patel has led the fans into reminding the team management of experienced leaders (Rohit and Virat).

Team not mature enough

The Indian team led by Hardik Pandya lacked maturity and that was there to be seen in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. India first trailed 0-2 before equaling the series, and then again choking to an 8-wicket defeat in the final. The openers failed with Rohit Sharma missing at top, the middle-order and the lower-middle-order also failed in the absence of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.

Pace bowling inexperience

Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shami missing was a big factor. The pace unit was led by inexperienced Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh. Hardik Pandya's experiment with Hardik Pandya misfired with the captain leaking 32 in three overs.
