Exactly a week after India's T20 World Cup triumph, a new look team India returns to international action against Zimbabwe.

India will be up against Zimbabwe in the first of the five-match T20I series on Saturday (July 6). BCCI named a young and second-string squad for the tour but it promises to be an intense encounter as the youngsters look to cement their prospects for the first-team squad.

Shubman Gill is set to lead the team as selectors included a few players for their first call-up. World Cup winners Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube are also set to join the team after the first two matches.

Shubman Gill is going to captain the team in the first match but maybe batting at no. 3 position in this match. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma may open the innings, with the latter making his debut for India. Riyan Parag is also likely to make debut while Rinku Singh is expected to be in the lineup. Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed are set to be part of the pace unit as Ravi Bishnoi may be the sole frontline spinner.

Parag and Sharma both had a superb IPL stint and are expected to get their elusive India debut in the match. Washington Sundar is set to come in as the all-rounder for the Indian team. KKR pacer Harshit Rana has also been included but he may have to sit on the bench as Avesh Khan looks on course to be India's third pacer.

Zimbabwe will field their strongest team and newly selected Antum Naqvi may be handed a debut in this match. Sikandar Raza is set to lead the African nation as they aim to upset the World Champions. Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara are amongst the starters while Innocent Kaia and Wesley Madhever are set to be part of the lineup as well.
