IND-W vs AUS-W, Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Australia will face India in Match 18 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE on Sunday, October 13.
Australia, one of the favourites to win the tournament, will enter the match after strong performances in their previous games. The team, led by Alyssa Healy, won all three of their matches so far.

The Baggy Greens would want to continue their winning streak against India, as a win on Sunday will confirm qualification to the knockout stages. India will be no pushovers either, as the Women in Blue would need a win to tie with Australia on six points in Group A. The Indian team will know the importance of securing their qualification with New Zealand creeping up in third spot, and the high stakes will make for an exciting match for cricket fans.

Australia have justified their tag as title favourites, winning all of their matches in the tournament so far. The team started its campaign with a comfortable six-wicket victory against Sri Lanka, chasing down a target of 94 with almost six overs remaining.
Big wins against New Zealand and Pakistan followed, which put Australia top of the group standings.
India are in second position with four points, with the Women in Blue winning their matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. However, a heavy defeat against New Zealand has hampered their net run rate, and a win against Australia will ensure that Harmanpreet and Co. keep their qualification fate in their own hands.
