Bangladesh has handed a maiden call up to 15-year-old pacer Habiba Islam Pinky in the women's senior team for the upcoming five-match T20I series against India, starting from April 28.
The up-and-coming pacer, who is the only uncapped player in the squad, has already featured in U19 cricket for Bangladesh earlier this year during the tri-series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Nigar Sultana Joty will lead the side in the five-match series, with Nahida Akter serving as her deputy. Bangladesh women's team will continue preparing for the home T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held later this year from September to October.
This will be Bangladesh senior women's team's second T20I assignment this year, having been whitewashed at home 0-3 by the mighty Australian team earlier this month. India also faced Australia in a T20I series at home earlier this year before the Women's Premier League.
This will be India's second tour of Bangladesh in the last two years. Last year, the 'Women in Blue' played three 20-over matches against Bangladesh and Harmanpreet Kaur's side won the series 2-1.
The first match of the 2024 series will start on April 28 with the series opener followed by the second and third games on April 30 and May 2 respectively, while the final two matches will be held on May 6 and 9.
All five matches will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. Here is a look at the Bangladesh women's squad and the complete schedule of the upcoming series:
