IND-W will face NZ-W in the 3rd ODI of the New Zealand Women tour of India on Tuesday, October 29, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
After a stunning victory in the first ODI, the Women in Blue fell to a demoralising defeat in the second match on October 27. New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a total of 259/9.

Chasing is not one of India Women’s strong suits, and the lack of confidence was on full display as Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. seemed to surrender well before the match ended. India’s run chase eventually came to a halt at 183, losing the match by 76 runs.
New Zealand would credit their captain Sophie Devine for the comfortable win. The all-rounder was in fine form in both innings, scoring 79 runs with the bat and taking three wickets for 27 runs.
India’s defeat could have been even bigger if not for tail-enders Radha Yadav and Saima Thakor, who posted the biggest ninth-wicket partnership in the team’s history to reduce the defeat margin.
The team, which also suffered an embarrassing group-stage exit in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup, will look to fight back on Tuesday, and fans will wait anxiously for a positive result at the batting-friendly Narendra Modi Stadium.
New Zealand Women hold a significant head to head over their opponents. In the 56 WODI matches played between the two teams, the White Ferns have won 34 outings. In comparison, India have won 21 times, with one match way back in 1978 ending in a draw.
In the last five encounters between India Women and New Zealand Women, the Women in Blue have emerged victorious in two WODI matches, while the White Ferns have won thrice.
