IND-W vs PAK-W: Indian wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh took a stunning catch in the match against Pakistan in the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at Sharjah on Monday, October 6.

The young cricketer took a stunning one-handed catch – a potential catch of the tournament – to dismiss Fatima Sana, leaving Pakistan six wickets down at 70. A super delivery from Asha Sobhana caught the edge of Sana’s bat, and Richa Ghosh dove to her right, demonstrating her quick reflexes with just 0.44 seconds to react.

#3. India Women vs England Women, 1st T20I (December 06, 2023)

In the first T20I match during the England tour of India in 2023, the Three Lions won the first match after posting a massive total of 197/6. Few things went right for the Women in Blue in the first innings, but one moment of magic came in the 19th over, when Richa Ghosh pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Nat Sciver-Brunt.

A delivery from Renuka Singh caught Sciver-Brunt, who was batting at 77 runs. Richa seemed to fly towards the slip position to take a catch of the highest order to send the English batter back, keeping India in the tie.

#2. London Spirit vs Northern Superchargers, The Hundred 2023 (August 18, 2023)

Richa Ghosh displayed her incredible athleticism during a match between the London Spirit and the Northern Superchargers, taking a terrific one-handed catch to dismiss Alice Davidson-Richards.

After a risky sweep shot by the batter, the ball took flight after nicking the bat. Richa responded before anyone else, jumping with her right hand stretched to take one of the best catches of the tournament.

#1. India Women vs England Women, Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 (February 18, 2023)

The best catch of Richa Ghosh’s career came in a group game against England in the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup. Similar to the stunner that she pulled off against Pakistan on Sunday, the young wicketkeeper took a brilliant reflex catch to dismiss Danni Wyatt for a duck.

In the very first over by Renuka Singh Thakur, Wyatt was caught on the edge, which sent the ball flying towards the keeper. Richa showed cat-like reflexes, diving down to take a stunning one-handed catch to give a flying start to her team.

Flying catches seem to be a speciality for Richa Ghosh, who pulled off a terrific high catch to dismiss Grace Harris. The delivery of Sophie Devine had contact with the middle of Harris's bat, which made the ball go flying high towards the keeper’s left. Richa showed quick reflexes, stretching as much as she could to catch the ball in the air.
