IND-W vs WI-W 2nd T20I: Hayley Matthews' brilliant unbeaten 85 outshone Smriti Mandhana's elegant 62 as the West Indies women's team snapped their nine-match losing streak against India.
They claimed a dominant nine-wicket victory in the second T20I on Tuesday, leveling the three-game series at 1-1.

Skipper Hayley Matthews delivered a stunning performance, smashing an unbeaten 85 off just 47 deliveries as the West Indies chased down a target of 160 with 26 balls remaining. Matthews' opening partner, Qiana Joseph, contributed 38, while Shemaine Campbelle, batting at one-down, remained unbeaten on 29 as the visitors reached 160/1 in 15.4 overs.
Saima Thakor picked up the only wicket to fall for the West Indies. Earlier, after being put in to bat, India posted a total of 159/9 in their 20 overs, with stand-in captain and opener Smriti Mandhana leading the charge with a 41-ball 62. Richa Ghosh added a quickfire 32 off 17 deliveries.
For the West Indies, skipper Matthews (2/36), Afy Fletcher (2/28), Deandra Dottin (2/14), and Chinelle Henry (2/37) each claimed two wickets to restrict India.
In the run-chase, Joseph set the tone in the second over by taking on Titas Sadhu, smashing three boundaries and a six to gather 18 runs. Matthews soon joined the party, unleashing a barrage of fours as the West Indies raced to 50 within the first five overs.
With dew settling quickly, the Indian bowlers struggled to create an impact with the new ball. Their only opportunity during the powerplay went begging when Sajana Sajeevan dropped Joseph on 26.
Saima Thakor (1/28) eventually broke the opening stand in the seventh over by taking the pace off the ball, leading to Joseph mistiming her shot, which was safely caught by Richa Ghosh for the sole wicket.
The breakthrough slowed things momentarily, but Matthews reignited the charge with consecutive boundaries off Radha Yadav, while No. 3 Shemaine Campbelle struck three successive fours off Sadhu to restore the West Indies' dominance.
Matthews showed her class against Yadav in the 11th over, smashing four consecutive boundaries with a combination of power and precision to exploit the gaps. Thakor faced a similar onslaught in the 14th over as the West Indies captain unleashed three more boundaries, effectively sealing the game for her team.
