The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced a 15-member squad for the India A team's forthcoming tour of Australia. This tour, set for 2024, includes two first-class matches against Australia A followed by a three-day intra-squad game against the senior India team in Perth.

The India A team will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, with Abhimanyu Easwaran serving as the vice-captain. The team composition is an amalgam of skilled batsmen, adept wicket-keepers, and proficient bowlers, ensuring a well-rounded unit.

India A Schedule and Match Venues

The itinerary for the India A tour includes a series of matches across different venues in Australia. The tour commences with the first first-class match at Mackay which starts on October 31. Following this, the second first-class match will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from the 7th to the 10th of November 2024. The final encounter will be the intrasquad match against the touring India senior team, which is set to start in Perth on November 15.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhimanyu Easwaran will spearhead the batting whereas the likes of Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal will also play a key role. Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Porel have been chosen as the wicketkeeper for the tour. Yash Dayal and Khaleel Ahmed are two left-arm pacers in the team while Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini are other inclusions.
