India A Squad for Sri Lanka Series: Tilak Varma named Captain, Check Full List of Players

The BCCI's Men's Selection Committee has named the 15-member India A squad for the upcoming One-Day Tri-Series in Sri Lanka, featuring hosts Sri Lanka A, India A, and Afghanistan A.

Tilak Varma will lead the side, with Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag serving as his deputy. The squad blends experienced white-ball performers with several exciting young talents who have shone in domestic cricket and the IPL.

The squad features two specialist wicket-keepers in Prabhsimran Singh and Kumar Kushagra, providing good depth behind the stumps. Fast bowling options include experienced pacers Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh, while left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey and all-rounders like Nishant Sindhu, Vipraj Nigam, and Riyan Parag add balance to the attack.

The young Indian star Vaubhav Sooryavanshi, who has taken IPL 2026 by storm, has also found a spot in the side.

The limited-overs tri-series will be held entirely in Dambulla. Following the conclusion of the white-ball matches, India A will play two multi-day (first-class) fixtures against Sri Lanka A in Galle. The red-ball squad for those encounters will be announced separately at a later date.

This tour serves as a crucial developmental platform for India's fringe players and emerging talents, many of whom are pushing for senior national team spots. With the 2026 ODI World Cup cycle gaining momentum, performances in this tri-series will be closely monitored by the national selectors.
