India vs Australia Live Score & Updates: IND Preview

India's campaign in the tournament got off to a rocky start. Their opening clash against Pakistan was called off after several Indian players opted out, citing political tensions between the two nations. As a result, their first match of the competition came against South Africa - a game that proved to be a major setback.

South Africa, opting to bat first, put up a commanding total of 208/6, putting the Indian bowlers under pressure from the outset. To add to India's woes, captain Yuvraj Singh picked up an injury while fielding and couldn't take part in the run chase. With a revised target set under the DLS method, India struggled to build momentum. Wickets fell at regular intervals, and they could only muster 111/9 in 18.2 overs, suffering a heavy defeat by 88 runs.
