IND vs NZ: Rohit Sharma-led India etched their names into the history books on Sunday, 9th March after the Men in Blue defeated Mitchell Santner's New Zealand by 4 wickets to lift their 3rd Champions Trophy title at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
With this win, India now have won a record 3 titles in the competition's history, a feat no other team have achieved before. Only Australia is close with 2 titles, while the likes of New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies and Pakistan have won one each.

The defending T20 World Cup champions have also played the most number of summit clashes in the Champions Trophy as well (5).
Speaking of the match, New Zealand, after being put in to bat, posted a competitive total of 251/7 in their 50 overs. Daryl Mitchell top-scored with 63 off 101 balls, while Michael Bracewell provided a late flourish with an unbeaten 53 off 40. Varun Chakaravarthy (2/45) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/40) were India's standout bowlers.
India's chase started on a strong note, but New Zealand fought back with crucial wickets, including Virat Kohli's dismissal for just 1. Shreyas Iyer (48) and Axar Patel (29) kept India on track, while KL Rahul (34*) and Ravindra Jadeja (9*) finished the job with an over to spare.
Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell claimed two wickets each, but it wasn't enough to stop India from lifting their third Champions Trophy title.
At a crucial stage, New Zealand's spinners had India under pressure, but Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel steadied the innings with a vital partnership. Just as they looked in control, Iyer fell attempting an aggressive shot, followed by Axar miscuing one off Bracewell.
With New Zealand back in the game, India's depth proved decisive. KL Rahul stayed calm, Hardik Pandya played key shots, and Ravindra Jadeja finished the job, securing a memorable win with 6 balls to spare.
