India's head coach Gautam Gambhir visited the Maa Peetambra temple in Datia on Friday morning and offered prayers to the almighty.
This visit coincided with the second day of Sharadiya Navratri and was ahead of the upcoming T20 match between India and Bangladesh. A video capturing this moment has gained popularity among fans.

Peetambra Peetha is a complex of Hindu temples, located in the city of Datia in Madhya Pradesh. It was, according to many legends, a 'Tapasthali' of many mythologic characters as well as real life people.
Gambhir was seen wearing a Yellow dress and was serenaded by security personnel. The India head coach also poured the holy water on the deity and then left the temple after spending around an hour or so.
The T20 International series between India and Bangladesh is set to commence on October 6. The first match will take place at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, which will host its first international match in 14 years.
Gambhir's temple visit reflects a blend of spirituality and sportsmanship, resonating with many fans. His actions have sparked interest and engagement across social media platforms, highlighting the cultural significance of such gestures in Indian sports.
As preparations continue, both teams are focused on strategy and performance. The series promises to deliver thrilling moments and showcase top-tier cricketing talent from both nations.
India registered a fantastic 2-0 clean sweep of the Test series against Bangladesh and will now be looking forward to continuing their home dominance in the T20 format. Suryakumar Yadav is set to lead the side as none of the members from the Test team has been selected for the limited overs series.
