India not under pressure: Dhoni

By Staff

Bangalore, Sep 28 (UNI) Refusing to bite the Aussie bait, team India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni today said the team was absolutely under no pressure and was confident to continue with the winning streak.

Speaking to mediapersons on the eve of the first tie of the seven-match ODI series against Australia at M Chinnaswamy Stadium here tomorrow he, however said it would be important for the team to 'switch off' from the T20 mode and adapt to the 50 over format straightaway.

Australian captain Ricky Ponting and his deputy Adam Gilchrist had said yesterday that Indian team, after returning home as World T20 Champions, would be under pressure to perform in front of the home crowd, which had high expectations.

''We are fully ready. This is a very important series for us,'' he said.

Dhoni said though the team had been successful in T20, tomorrow's game was a different ball game. ''We have to quickly switch over to the one-day mode and players are ready for this. The return of Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid will be of immense help at this point,'' he said.

Dhoni said the wicket looked good with a fair amount of grass on it. However, in the second half the dew factor might prove difficult for the fielding side, he felt.
