India Pakistan Match: 'Flat track bullies!' fans criticise Indian top-order on Twitter for dismal show

By Neellohit Ray

In a highly anticipated match of the Asia Cup 2023, cricket fans across the globe were glued to their screens to witness the fierce rivalry between India and Pakistan. However, for Indian fans, the excitement quickly turned into frustration as the team's top-order batsmen failed to deliver.

The India vs. Pakistan clash is always a high-stakes affair, and expectations were sky-high for Team India as they took on their arch-rivals. However, the Indian top-order, comprising some of the world's most renowned batsmen, struggled to make an impact on the scoreboard.

Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, and Subhman Gill, the opener, were expected to set the tone for India's innings. India, after choosing to bat on a difficult batting track, struggled early on when Pakistan's pacer Shaheen Afridi knocked Rohit Sharma over.

Adding to the disappointment of Indian supporters, Virat Kohli, widely regarded as one of the finest contemporary batsmen, also struggled to make a significant impact. To compound the frustration, Shubman Gill succumbed to the pressure, ultimately knocking the stumps with a delivery from Haris Rauf.

Twitter and other social media platforms quickly lit up with comments from disheartened fans who expressed their disappointment and frustration. Many fans lamented the lack of consistency in the Indian top order and questioned the team's strategy.

Some fans called for changes in the batting lineup, while others urged the team's management to address the recurring issue of top-order collapses. There were also debates on whether the pressure of the India-Pakistan rivalry was affecting the players' performance.

Despite the frustrations, some fans remained hopeful and encouraged the team to bounce back in the tournament.
