India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test against England at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Friday (February 2).
India, who come into the match on the back of a 28-run loss, have been forced into two changes and have also made one change in the pace department. Rajat Patidar has been handed a debut, while Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar also get a look-in.

Patidar comes in to replace injured KL Rahul, while Kuldeep replaces an injured Ravindra Jadeja, and Mukesh comes in to replace Mohammed Siraj in the playing 11 from the team that lost the series opener last week.

After opting to bat, Rohit said: "Looks a good pitch, the pitch will do its thing, we need to play good cricket. What happened in Hyderabad is history, we need to move on. We have spoken on things we need to do, now we need to execute on our plans.
"I thought we batted well in the first innings, but didn't have the same intent in the second. Similarly, in the second innings with the bowl there was a brilliant knock by Ollie Pope."
On team news, Rohit added: "Injuries are part and parcel of the game, but that's why we have the guys sitting on the bench. Two forced changes - Jadeja and KL miss out, and Siraj has been rested. We've got Mukesh, Kuldeep coming in, and Rajat Patidar making his debut."
England, meanwhile, had announced their playing 11 on the eve of the match. The visitors were forced into one change and also made a change to their pace department. Injured Jack Leach made way for Shoaib Bashir's debut, while veteran James Anderson comes in for Mark Wood.
After being asked to bowl first, England skipper Stokes said: "Would have batted as well. It was a great last week, but we know India will come back hard. To come from behind like we did was very pleasing. We'll take the confidence from that, but new week now. It is an amazing atmosphere to play in for the boys."
On debuts and team news, Stokes added: "To get such an opportunity at the start of their career will do wonders for their confidence. Two changes - Shoaib Bashir and James Anderson come in for Jack Leach and Mark Wood."
