New Zealand may have had the upperhand against India in ICC events, but the Men in Blue registered a 3-0 white-wash over the Blackcaps in the home series earlier this year. That result, stopped India's five-match losing streak against New Zealand in ODI format.
Heading into the World Cup 2023 clash, both teams come in as favourites, having won four matches to sit on top of the table. Rohit Sharma's side have beaten Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh so far. All four of India's wins came when chasing a target.
Meanwhile, New Zealand under the leadership of regular skipper Kane Williamson have registered a victory over Bangladesh, and under Tom Latham, they defeated Netherlands, England and Afghanistan. New Zealand share two wins each when chasing and batting first.
