India's premium batter Shreyas Iyer was seen with former Manchester United captain Patrice Evra in Abu Dhabi on Sunday (November 27).

Shreyas Iyer was one of the prolific Indian batters in the recently concluded World Cup. The star batter amassed 530 runs in the tournament and showcased excellent skill across the World Cup matches.

After the conclusion of the World Cup 2023, Iyer has been rested for the first three matches of the ongoing T20I series against Australia. Although he is set to return for the final two matches, Iyer was pictured with Patrice Evra in Abu Dhabi.

Iyer, who is a self-proclaimed Chelsea fan in the Premier League, met the Manchester United legend and former France defender. But what was the reason for their meet-up?

It has been revealed that Patrice Evra was in Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday. Iyer also has a keenness for Formula One and other sports, and thus he was present at the race track as a spectator.

Iyer has been retained by Kolkata Knight Riders and looks set to be back as captain for the franchise in IPL 2024. He missed the IPL 2023 due to a back injury but is expected to be present in the mini-auction on December 19.
