India squad announcement for Sri Lanka T20Is and ODIs: India's T20I and ODI squad for their white-ball tour of Sri Lanka is likely to be announced on Wednesday (July 17) or Thursday.
The Sri Lanka white-ball tour starts with the first T20I in Pallekele on Saturday, July 27. The ODI leg will begin from August 2. As per an India Today report, the squad for both the series of three matches each, is set to be announced in a couple of days.

Reports have also emerged that Surykumar Yadav is set to pip Hardik Pandya and be appointed as the new T20I captain of India. Selectors are taking the decision keeping in mind the long-term prospect of the Indian T20I team.
Hardik Pandya's fitness has been an issue over the years, and the selectors wanted to go with someone who is available for a longer period of time. The Indian Express on Tuesday reported that Hardik Pandya has made himself unavailable for selection for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Further, head coach Gautam Gambhir has urged senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah to play in the three ODI matches. As per a The Indian Express report, there is another month-long break after the Sri Lanka ODIs, and therefore the newly-appointed white-ball coach of the Indian cricket team wants the trio to feature in the ODI leg of the tour.
While Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are abroad with their families, Jasprit Bumrah was spotted at the wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Further, Hardik Pandya has requested the BCCI to not consider him for the ODI series due to personal reasons. In case Rohit also opts to sit out, the selectors will face the task of appointing a stand-in captain as well.
