Team India welcome back ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah back into the squad for the fifth and final Test against England, starting from Thursday (March 7) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala.
The 30-year-old, who is India's joint highest wicket-taker in the ongoing series along with Ravindra Jadeja, had been given a much-needed breather after he was rested for the fourth Test in Ranchi, where India took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-Test series.

"Mr. Jasprit Bumrah who was released from the squad for the 4th Test in Ranchi, will link-up with the squad in Dharamsala for the 5th Test," BCCI statement read on Thursday (February 29).
Meanwhile, KL Rahul, who missed the second, third and fourth Tests, has been ruled out of making a return in the final Test as the wicketkeeper-batter is in the UK meeting with specialists for his quadricep issue.
"Mr. KL Rahul, whose participation in the final IDFC First Bank Test was subject to fitness, has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring him and coordinating with specialists in London for further management of his issue," BCCI further added.
Apart from the news of Bumrah returning and Rahul being ruled out, spin-bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar, who was drafted into the squad from the second Test, has been released to feature in the Ranji Trophy semi-final for Tamil Nadu.
BCCI, however, added that Sundar, who wasn't used during the series, could rejoin the squad if needed after the completion of the Ranji semi-final, which is slated to be held from March 2 to 6, finishing on the eve of the Dharamsala Test.
"Mr. Washington Sundar has been released from the squad. He will join Tamil Nadu - his Ranji Trophy side - for their Ranji Trophy Semi-final fixture against Mumbai, starting March 2nd, 2024. He will join the India squad after the completion of the domestic fixture for the fifth Test, if need be," BCCI said.
