
The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked squads for the ongoing Mastercard Australia Tour of India for the third and fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the three-match ODI series.
The squad for the last two Test matches is unchanged as out-of-form vice-captain KL Rahul retained his place. Six players - wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Shubman Gill, Umesh Yadav, and Kuldeep Yadav - who have not played a match yet, have also been named in the 17-member squad.
The third Test match will commence from March 1 in Indore, while Ahmedabad will host the last Test from March 9. The third Test was earlier slated to be played in Dharamshala.
The BCCI has also announced a 18-member ODI squad under Rohit Sharma who will be unavailable for the first ODI due to family commitments. Hardik Pandya will lead the side in his absence. Ravindra Jadeja returns to the ODI side and the all-rounder has been named alongside Axar patel and Washington Sundar.
Further, Jaydev Unadkat who last played an ODI match in 2013, has made a comeback in India PDI set up. The pacer led Saurshtra to Ranji Trophy 2022-23 trumph on Sunday.
