New Delhi, Oct 17: The Indian Test team for the home series against South Africa will be selected on October 19 (Monday) here in Delhi, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced today.
"The meeting of the All-India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI will be held on Monday 19th, October 2015 in Delhi," a media release from BCCI said on Saturday (October 17). The 1st Test is in Mohali from November 5 to 9 and the 2nd from November 14 to 18 in Bengaluru. Virat Kohli will lead India for the first time in a home Test rubber.
The selection panel headed by Sandeep Patil will pick the team for 1st 2 Tests of the 4-match series. Also, the squads for the 4th and 5th ODIs of the ongoing series against South Africa, will also be selected on the same day.
The 5-match ODI series is currently level at 1-1. The 3rd ODI is in Rajkot tomorrow (October 18). The 4th match is in Chennai (October 22) and the final game on Sunday (October 25) in Mumbai.
The Board President's XI team for the 2-day (October 30-31) practice game against the visitors will also be revealed on Monday, BCCI added.
