India Tour Of South Africa: The Board of Control for Cricket in India Women's Selection Committee has announced India's squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against the South Africa women's national cricket team. The tour, scheduled in April 2026, will see Harmanpreet Kaur continue to lead the side, with Smriti Mandhana named as vice-captain.

India has opted for a well-rounded squad, blending experienced campaigners with emerging talents. The batting unit features key names like Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues, alongside dependable all-rounder Deepti Sharma.

The wicketkeeping duties will be shared by Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry, adding depth to the middle order. The squad also includes promising names such as Shreyanka Patil and Kashvee Gautam, reflecting a focus on grooming young talent for the future.

It will be the second-last T20I series for the Women's cricket team before they take the field against Pakistan in the first match of the Women's T20 World Cup.

Strong Bowling Attack

India's bowling lineup appears equally formidable, led by Renuka Singh Thakur and supported by Arundhati Reddy. The inclusion of players like Kranti Gaud and Sree Charani adds variety and depth to the attack, which will be crucial in overseas conditions.

India's tour of South Africa will begin on April 17, with the first two T20Is scheduled in Durban. The action then moves to Johannesburg for the third and fourth matches, before concluding in Benoni on April 27.

All matches will be played in the evening, with timings set at either 5:30 PM or 9:30 PM IST, offering prime-time viewing for Indian audiences.
