India reached the Final of the U19 World Cup on Tuesday (February 6) after beating South Africa.
After a scintillating performance in the semifinals, India have made it to their 9th U19 Final in history. It was not a cakewalk for them as the Men in Blue were in deep trouble at one stage, but captain Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas played superbly to get India over the line.

Chasing a score of 245, Sachin Dhas came to the crease when India was 32 for 4, and played a brilliant knock. He scored 96 off 95 balls and changed the dynamics of the match. Along with captain Saharan, the pair added 171 runs for the 5th wicket and gave India the platform to edge past the Proteas.
As the whole world waits for the Final, let's have a look at Sachin Dhas and the crazy story of his Father in making him a cricketer-
Sachin Dhas is a 19-year-old Indian cricketer who plays for India U19 team. He was born on February 3, 2005, in Maharashtra's Beed, a town 400 km East of Mumbai.
Dhas is known for his six-hitting prowess and aggressive batting. He left everyone puzzled in an U-19 tournament in Pune with his six-hitting and the organizers even checked the size of his bat to ensure there wasn't any cheating.
Sachin Dhas' father Sanjay Dhas is an ardent cricket fan. Sanjay named his son after his 2nd favourite cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The cricketer's father also said that the teenager wears no. 10 because he adores Sachin Tendulkar.
"I am a big Sunil Gavaskar fan but I named him after my second favourite, Sachin Tendulkar, so that growing up he could connect with him," Sanjay Dhas was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
Sachin Dhas' father himself was a university-level cricketer, and he wanted to fulfil his dream with his offspring. And the father was clear of his intentions of making his son a cricketer even before he was born.
Sanjay also made a turf wicket for his son after borrowing money and had to call water tanker every two or three days to water the pitch. The father also credited Sachin's childhood coach Azhar for his tireless work on his son. Sachin came to prominence playing for Kolhapur Tuskers in the Maharashtra Premier League.
