Rohit Sharma has completed a fantastic hundred in the first Test against Australia in Nagpur on Friday (February 10).
In a pitch that created trouble for all the batters, Rohit found things very easy for him as he rallied on to complete his hundred against the Aussies.
Rohit Sharma started in fantastic fashion on Thursday, and then continued his batting prowess with class on Friday as well. The Indian skipper hit shots across the ground, and then got to his hundred with a lofted extra cover drive in the bowling of Nathan Lyon, bringing up the 9th ton of his Test career.
As he scored his hundred, along with that, he reached a few milestones as well-
Rohit Sharma becomes the first Indian captain to score hundred in all formats. Although Virat Kohli, KL Rahul have scored 50+ runs as India's captain in all formats, Rohit Sharma is the only one to get to three figures while leading the nation.
Rohit Sharma also equals Sachin Tendulkar as the Indian opening batter with the most centuries against Australia. The pair has 9 centuries each to their name now.

Rohit Sharma now has the 2nd best conversion rate in Test cricket at home among all the batters. The Indian captain has a conversion rate of 57.1 pc, which means he has scored a hundred that percentage of times after crossing 50 runs. Only Murali Vijay (60 pc) is ahead of him at the moment.
Rohit Sharma surpassed Aussie batter Steve Smith to become the 4th ranked batter in terms of hundreds among active cricketers. Rohit Sharma has 43 centuries across the formats, Joe Root (44), David Warner (45) and Virat Kohli (74) are ahead of him.
