India vs Australia 1st T20I had a controversial moment when Rinku Singh's last-ball six off the last delivery of the match wasn't counted with one run needed off the last delivery in a high-scoring thriller at the Dr YS Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
India found themselves in a precarious situation after losing three wickets in the final over. However, Rinku Singh kept his calm and shot the ball over the long-on for a six off the final delivery by Sean Abbot. The six wasn't counted as the pacer bowled a no-ball by over-stepping the popping crease.

The incident reminded of the India vs Sri Lanka match from 2010 when Sri Lankan spinner Suraj Randiv purposely overstepped the line to not allow Virender Sehwag to hit a century off the final delivery of the match with the batter remaining stranded on 99 despite hitting a six off the last ball at the Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
With the win, India opened the Twenty20 International series with a commanding two-wicket victory over Australia on Thursday. There was plenty of excitement during the game. Josh Inglis scored a century to help Australia amass 208/3 in 20 overs.
India looked quite comfortable in the run chase at one stage thanks to half-centuries from Ishan Kishan (58) and Suryakumar Yadav (80). However, following their dismissals, India required seven runs in six balls, and Rinku Singh had to lead them to victory.
Earlier, an explosive century by Josh Inglis and a 130-run partnership with Steve Smith powered Australia to 208/3 with the wicketkeeper batter scoring his maiden international century. Smith, who had a relatively quiet ICC World Cup 2023 by his own standard. Prasidh (1/50) and Ravi (1/54) took a wicket each. Mukesh's spell of 0/29 in four overs was perhaps the biggest positive for Indian bowlers
