India have retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy with another comprehensive win over Australia in the 2nd Test in Delhi.
Cheteshwar Pujara scored the winning runs on his 100th Test as India completed their victory by 6 wickets over Australia, thus taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the Test series.
Australia were guilty of reckless batting as some awful shot-making led to a staggering capitulation in the first session on Sunday (February 19). Ravindra Jadeja wrecked the visitors with 10 wickets in the match, 7 of them coming in the second innings.
There were some top performers in the match. Here is the complete list of the award winners from the Second Test.
Axar Patel gets the award for hitting the longest six of the match, which travelled 85 metres.
Ravichandran Ashwin gets the award for his amazing spell in the first session on the 3rd day. He picked up 6 wickets in total in the match, and also batted extremely well in the first innings.
Ravindra Jadeja is awarded the Player of the Match for his amazing bowling display throughout the match. The left-arm spinner picked up 7 wickets in the second innings and decimated the visitors. He finished the match with 10 wickets to his name.

Australia Captain Pat Cummins:
I thought 260 was a decent score in the first innings. The guys bounced back well. But India batted well, just 1-2 partnerships and you can get to that 260 mark quite easily. In the innings break, it was all even. Disappointed, we were ahead of the game but we slipped. We need a review on what could have been done differently. Unfortunately, this one hurts a little bit.
Fantastic result for us. Looking at how things were yesterday, the way we came back and finished our job was great. Even if we were just one run behind, I felt we were trailing because we had to bat last. For us it was important not to panic, we had to hit the right areas and we knew the pitch would help. It was waiting for their mistake and luckily in the morning, it worked for us. Every game here in this type of weather, the moisture of the pitch offers a lot in the first session. There are lot of moments across four innings, but I thought the partnership between Jadeja and Virat, and then Axar-Ash was brilliant. I think that's a big help because of the balance we have created for ourselves.
What Happens Next:
India have retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy with the win. The third Test will be starting from March 1, hence giving both teams almost two weeks' rest. Australia will have to think, strategize in the gap and come back stronger in Indore.
