Team India will look to complete a whitewash when they face Australia in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the SCA Stadium in Rajkot on Wednesday (September 27).
KL Rahul-led India eased to a 5-wicket win over Pat Cummins-led Australia in the first ODI at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Friday (September 22) to go 1-0 up in the series. In the second ODI, Cummins rested and Steve Smith stepped in to lead the visitors, but the result was no different.

Going in with three changes, Smith won the toss on Sunday (September 24) at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, and put India, who also made three changes to theire playing 11, into bat.
Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer smashed hundreds, sharing a 200-run stand for the second wicket before Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav smashed fifties to power the hosts to a mammoth 399/5 in 50 overs.
In response, Australia were 56/2 in 9 overs, losing Matthew Short and Smith to Prasidh Krishna before rain halted play and reduced the chase to 33 overs with target being reduced to 317.
Once play resumed, David Warner completed his second successive fifty before Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja combined to claim six wickets to tilt the match in the hosts' favour. India sealed a victory by 99 runs (DLS method) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
In the next meeting, both India and Australia may field their World Cup playing 11 as they look for one final warm up before the real warm up matches and the actual tournament begins from October 5.
So, regular skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Pandya will come straight into the elven along with Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested, for India. For the visitors, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Marsh and skipper Cummins are likely to play.
The two sides will clash at the SCA Stadium in Rajkot, where they will meet in a ODI for the second time. And it's a venue where India has won only once in 3 ODI matches. Here is a look at the SCA Stadium ODI Stats, Record, Pitch Report and Rajkot Weather Forecast:
Founded: 2008
Seating Capacity: 28,000
Number of matches hosted: 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is
Like most surfaces in India, the wickets at the SCA Stadium also are known to be batter friendly, producing big-scoring matches in domestic and international stage. In the three ODIs held at the venue so far, all the matches have been won the team batting first.
But it has not been one of those venues where runs on the board will give room for comfort for the team defending as all the three matches have been close contests with four innings in two matches seeing totals cross over 300.
The only time the total did not cross 300, India lost to South Africa when chasing 270 and fell short by 18 runs. However, India secured their first ODI win at the venue in the most recent outing and coincidentally, the opponent on that night was also Australia.
The weather forecast for Wednesday (September 27) indicates a mostly cloudy day. Although, there is rain for the next two days, it is expected to remain dry on the matchday. The max temperature is expected to be 34° C, but that is expected to reduce to 25° C at the end of the day's play.
Rain Prediction in Rajkot on September 27: There is forecast for rain from Sunday (September 24) to Tuesday (September 26), but there is only 6 percent chance for rain on the matchday - Wednesday (September 27). So, weather is unlikely to play spoilsport in IND vs AUS 3rd ODI.
