India Vs Australia 4th Test: Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad Pitch Report, Weather Forecast, Stats and Record

India and Australia will meet for the first time in the longest format at Narendra Modi Stadium, where the hosts have played fourteen Tests so far.

Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host India vs Australia 4th Test

Team India will look to bounce back when they face Australia in the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, starting on Thursday (March 9).

Australia led by Steve Smith in the absence of Pat Cummins, registered a 9-wicket win against Rohit Sharma-led India, who still lead the four-match series 2-1 despite the defeat at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

Earlier, India sealed a thumping innings and 132 run win in the first Test at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur followed by an impressive 6-wicket win in the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, but Australian spinners got the better of the hosts in the last outing on a rank turner.

While the spin trio of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin had showcased their all-round brilliance in the first two Tests, Matthew Kuhnemann and Nathan Lyon combined to do the damage with the ball for the Aussies in the third Test.

Kuhnemann claimed his maiden five-wicket haul to bundle out India for 109 in the first innings, Lyon registered figures of 8 for 64 in the second to help Australia reduce the series deficit. Usman Khawaja, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne contributed with the bat for the visitors.

Now, the action shifts to Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where Team India will aim to seal the series and a World Test Championship final spot against Australia, who booked their berth with the victory in Indore.

India and Australia will meet for the first time in the longest format at Narendra Modi Stadium, where the hosts have played fourteen Tests so far. The Australians, however, have played 5 whiteball matches at the venue, winning three and losing two.

In the most recent Test outing at the Narendra Modi Stadium, India beat England by an innings and 25 runs with spin dominating the match. Axar Patel claimed 9 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took 8 wickets in the match.

After what happened in the Indore Test, the wicket for the final Test may not be a rank turner as per reports. But spin is still expected to play a role in the match.
