Virat Kohli's long wait for a Test century has come to an end as the Indian batter racked up his 28th Test century on Sunday (March 12) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Kohli, who scored his last Test hundred way back in 2019, amassed a fantastic ton in the longest format of the game against Australia in the final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Indian batter started the day on 59, and notched up his hundred just after lunch on Day 4 of the Test match. This is also the 8th Test hundred for Kohli against Australia.

Kohli's elusive hundred created a social media frenzy as fans across the world congratulated the batter and lauded his gritty inning to overcome the long drought. Twitter was poured with reactions of elated fans rejoiced the moment of their favourite hero breaking the duck of centuries.
